My Babies 1st Christmas

What a fun day it's been! They were up and ready to go at 6 am. We fed them and put them back down until 8:00 for mommies sake. Adam helped open up their presents and their eyes lit up. It was super cute. As a first time parent, I didn't think of setting up their sit & crawl toy which had to be assembled to play with. I guess I'll be ready for next year. At least their so little they don't really have an idea. It was a blizzard as we were driving to Grandma Aleta's house. We made it through though. Of course, she over did it again! Presents were almost to the door because she has 4 new grandbabies this year. She didn't accomodate for the amount of people verses the space in her house. She "says" she'll slow down next year. We'll see...
We ate some breakfast. It was really good sausage and egg casserole. There was also french toast. I liked the sausage & egg myself. It still was a lot of fun to open a bunch of presents. The babies were overwhelmed with gifts. We might just save a few for their birthday.
After Christmas presents were opened we piled up the car and decided to go to a movie. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was a good movie, but a mistake to take the twin boys because it was a 3 1/2 hour long movie. We had to stand the majority of it entertaining upset babies. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.
Now we're home playing with our toys and relaxing for the rest of the day. It was a great 1st Christmas!

Halloween & Thanksgiving

Halloween
I know...I know...it's December, but I thought I should blog about their 1st Halloween and Thanksgiving. Adam and I decided for Halloween it would be cute to have their outfits go together. So we thought it was appropriate to have Winnie the Pooh and tigger too! Just so you know babies HATE to have make up put on. At least mine do and I only put some eyeliner on their noses. I originally wanted to be Eeyore for Halloween, but two things happened:
1)No time to pick one out
2)Money...costumes are EXTREMELY expensive.
I was last year's pumpkin. As a school teacher, I have to dress up. Since I was new to the school I let it slide doing a repeat of the costume. Halloween was fun. Our neighborhood circle decided to have an outside gathering for dinner and have a trunk or treat. So we didn't walk around the twins. Everyone came to see them. It was a great 1st Halloween.

Thanksgiving
Tradition is to go to my brother Bryon's house. He sets a nice formal meal with name tags and everything! It was really nice to see everyone. We fed the babies before we ate dinner. They got a baby food jar Thanksgiviving meal, turkey dinner and sweet potatoes. We also let them try mashed potatoes and gravy. They loved it.

I just need more time!

I wish I had more minutes in the day. I was shown how to blog several months ago and I haven't added ANYTHING! I just can't keep up. Well my babies are getting huge. Alden can crawl everywhere and stick leaves, cords, and anything that should not be in his mouth. Ammon just sits there sucking his binky away. He is trying to scoot a little bit, but doesn't go far. They are pounding down baby food and we can't keep up with how much they eat. I swear we have to go to Smith's every other day. We just took some Christmas photo's of all the grand babies on Adam's side. It turned out super cute. I'm looking forward to Christmas vacation. Maybe I'll add some more then.

The Twins

Adam and I had twin boys February 26, 2008. They are so darn cute! They turned 4 months yesterday! It is crazy how fast they are growing. Today they get their shots. :( I hope it is better than the last time. Ammon was struggling the last shot. He DID NOT adjust well. Alden was o.k. but overall they hated those stinkin' shots!
